Happy new Year!

Well we've all made it! it's 2012 and its a brand New Year.

So christmas is over and the celebrations are finished with, people have gone back to work, almost certainly broken the resouloutions they swore to keep and the not so hard core people have given up dieting! (Good for you you're beautiful!!!!)

Christmas and new year for me was spent with a different family. A loud lovley life filling family so now i'm back home again everything feels very quiet and empty.

I feel like i went from... this....

to a lonley little snow flake!!!!

So in all honesty, I've been feeling very lonely!

I still have youth work to fill my life and dived right in the day after i returned home with my other youth worker  holding the fort while i was away.
We both had a meeting to go to three days after i got home so both of us had to quickly make arrangements to get there, me being ever lazy she drove! we have another meeting  coming up so I'll drive it's only fair!

so over Christmas My Big Brother got baptised, My Christmas presents were great fully and in some cases tearfully received, and as usual I got some very nice presents and stored up some lovely memories! I also Turned twenty four meaning as I'm as old as the day is long! but part of me still feels  older and younger at the same time.

this blog is turning a little into rambling nonsense so I'm gonna add some photo's from my time away and shush a little!

Happy 11th birthday???? OH its guys with trumpets!!!

Looking foward.

As we head towards December and the New Year a lot of us find ourselves looking back over the year to see where we have come from. We sometimes make resolutions to make the New Year better and to learn from mistakes we may have made just to make our future better. So looking back becomes looking forward.

So my year hasn’t been particularly brilliant. It started with the loss of my Nan.
So do I see from this?
I see that I'm maybe not as strong as I used to be in some parts of my life, but in others I'm a lot stronger.
I know I can go to friends and ask for help rather than dealing with things myself and I know that asking for help is the stronger move.

The rest of the year has been better, I’ve seen a lot of some people but very little of others.

So what have I got to look forward to? If this year has taught me anything its that life no matter how down it gets will always rise up even if it takes time, the most important thing you can to is to help that rise happen. A smile at an unhappy face will always make you feel better (even more so if the person smiles back) a kind word goes a long way even if you don’t realise it. And every year you live will count to your future in ways you can’t imagine. Good things do come back to you in a good way even if it’s not immediately.

I'm a little apprehensive about Christmas though.

I have presents to give people who aren’t my family, so I don’t know how they will be received, but all the same I'm feeling like the boy in the John Lewis advert!
 The John Lewis Advert!
I want to give my present’s soo much!!! Even if I still have 25 days to go! I know full well that all my friends back home are going to miss out on Christmas cards and presents from me (anyone offended please yell at me) But what I try to do is have Christmas all year. If I don’t get someone a present then in July you’re moaning that you want something  but can’t afford it  well chances are you’re going to get a present If I can!

Anyway! Enough waffle from me!  I’ll probably write again next year now as I won’t have the opportunity to until then

Happy Christmas! God Bless you all! And I hope your Christmas is as good as it can be! XxX
